BKI has been operating as a small business since 1981. We moved to Florida from Montana in 2002. Historically, BKI self-performed and subcontracted work as appropriate. Additionally, we developed teaming arrangements with various specialty contractors to provide a broader range of services and opportunities.


The founders of the company are lawyers. Their legal influence and focus is integrated into each aspect our work for our clients. In every capacity, our company personally commits to deliver the highest level of service excellence to every client every day.

BKI has spent the last five years in the hurricane related fields of property insurance appraisal and insurance loss remediation. Our services have expanded to include loss restoration, construction management, insurance claim adjusting, insurance loss appraisal, large loss consulting and expert testimony. We are certified by the Building Envelope Science Institute as Certified Defective Drywall Remediators, Consultants, and Trainers.

BKI is centrally located in Vero Beach, Florida, three hours from Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Gainesville. Our company works for a variety of clients including insurance companies and law firms.
